This theme will assist you in engaging with children and young adults on issues such as puberty, sexual attraction, consent, birth control, sexual intercourse, conception, pregnancy and option counselling for crisis pregnancy. These workshops help participants to:
- Develop a personal vision that gets them to think about their future and the kind of world they would like to create for themselves.
- Understand puberty, consent, birth control, sex, conception and pregnancy.
- Understand what causes and what can prevent crisis pregnancy in their community.
- Understand the options available to someone experiencing a crisis pregnancy.
- Understand the concepts of sex, gender and identity, and how to develop a personal identity for themselves.
- Understand sex and reproductive health rights and responsibilities, and how to empower themselves through these rights.
- Develop an action plan to ensure that they achieve their defined vision and future for themselves.
The process and timing illustrated below shows how you can run:
1) A 2 hour sex, pregnancy and option counselling workshop.
2) A 1 hour sex and pregnancy workshop.
3) A 1 hour crisis pregnancy and option counselling workshop.
4) A 1 hour sex, gender and personal identity workshop (this video exists but the workshop is coming soon).
5) A 1 hour sex and reproductive health rights and personal empowerment workshop (coming soon).
