Be Kind Anti-Bullying Strategy

This theme will assist you to engage with children, learners, parents and community members on the issue of bullying. These workshops help participants to:

  • Understand the importance of building a kinder world  where bullying is not tolerated at a personal or community level.
  • Understand what bullying is, who is involved, why, when and where it takes place in our communities
  • Develop a vision for a courageously kind world where bullying is eliminated.
  • Exploring the concept of empathy and learning tools to improve empathy at an individual and community level.
  • Developing assertiveness skills through building self-esteem, self-worth, personal identity and embracing our inner superhero.
  • Developing win/win partnerships to help address bullying in our communities.
  • Identify the values that will help us achieve our courageously kind world vision.
  • Develop an action plan to ensure sustainable behaviour change.

​The process and timing illustrated below shows how you can run:
1) A 4 hour Courage Be Kind anti-bullying workshop.
2) A 1 hour bullying stories, insight and vision workshop.
3) A 1 hour empathy & personal identity workshop.
4) A 1 hour self esteem & assertiveness role-play workshop.
5) A 1 hour partnership & values workshop.

Each participant should use a Courage Be Kind anti-Bullying workbook which can be downloaded below and printed in black and white or full colour depending on your budget. The speaker notes in the Power-Point presentation also detail instructions for each exercise that is covered.
