The Windybrow Arts Centre, a creative and learning hub of the Market Theatre Foundation, is a space of connection and curiosity for children and youth residing in the inner-city of Johannesburg and beyond.

The Centre is also home to the Johannesburg Awakening Minds, Three2Six and ASSITEJ SA.

 Our goal at the Centre is to provide quality performing arts and literacy programmes in a safe dynamic space to enrich the lives of young people by developing emotional resilience and inspiring life journeys. We root our work thematically, addressing current and relevant social issues that impact our participants and their communities. The Windybrow creates programming that is committed to using the arts as a tool for positive social change, engaging ethical and best practise methodologies.
