Our Courage workshops are focussed on one or a range of different child protection or empowerment themes. The themes below, will assist you in engaging with children, parents, community members and child protection officers on each. The themed posters, presentations and videos can be used interchangeably for the Child Protection & Safeguarding Strategies exercise in the Courage Child Protection Workshop Process.
Child Protection

This theme will assist you in engaging on issues surrounding the protection of children. You can either use the workshop process to explore all of the child protection challenges in a community (as illustrated on the workshop process page), or you can focus on one specific issue such as bullying or drug and alcohol abuse.
Sex, Pregnancy & Gender Identity

This theme will assist you in engaging with children and young adults on issues such as sexuality, gender, puberty, sexual attraction, consent, birth control, sexual intercourse, conception, pregnancy and option counselling for crisis pregnancy
Positive Parenting

This theme will assist you in engaging with parents and community members on issues such as the children’s rights, developmental stages and needs of children, positive parenting vs negative punishment, and how to build their child’s self esteem.
Child Abandonment & Adoption

This theme will assist you in engaging on issues surrounding the abandonment and adoption of children.
Be Kind Anti-Bullying

This theme will assist you to engage with children, learners, parents and community members on the issue of bullying. It explores insight into bullying, creating a vision for a courageously kind world, empathy and compassion, how to build self esteem and assertiveness skills, win/win partnerships, supporting values, and creating an action plan.
Personal Empowerment

This theme will assist you in engaging with children, learners, students and young adults on the subject of personal and community empowerment.
